4th Fun and Photos :)

I'm a little late, but our 4th was such an awesome day I had to share about it :) We woke up early to make the most of one of Paul's rare weekdays off, and drove to the coast for breakfast!
We visited our old favorite, The Wildflower Grill, just as you enter Lincoln City.

Then hit the beach for some fun in the AMAZING weather that day!

Then home we went for some naps, before celebrating with my family that night, and watching the show at Creekside.
It was a lovely day :)

OH I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!

Ok- to be brief: I've resisted pinterest because I seriously didn't want to get obsessed with ANOTHER online time-taker-upper. And I still don't. But I kind of did. But I'm not going to spend a ton of time on it. Except today.

BUT LOOK WHAT I FOUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you've visited our home you've probably heard the plans to add on an upstairs master suite, and turn our current bedroom into a study room with a powder room on the far end.
Please check out.

The stairs, which I'm pretty sure should look like this...
...will begin where our garage door is now, from a mudroom I hope to build there. The stairwell will then be adjacent to our now bedroom, someday study-room wall.
Now here's the beauty of this little plan.

I'm thinking our powder room needs to look like this:
In the wall, as opposed to out the end!
Hehehehehe! I'm literally giggling with glee right now!!!

And another idea, I'm pretty sure we could swing someday:
Our front room has a ginormous window, and a window-seat is calling to me.

OK, my crazy excited rantings are now over. Thank you for listening now, since I can't tell Paul about it for at least another hour!
Happy Weekend Everyone!!!

A Look into the Future... Hopefully :)

Most of the time I am so content with being in our home as it is- ok to wait on the zillions of projects that are hopefully in our future. Today for some reason I can't enter our backyard without seeing everything I want to do to it. So, in order to process my frustration at being utterly unable to begin ANY my projects now, I'm going to share my plans... in the form of photos altered in Word by an absolute amateur. Namely, me.

A big (around $6000) project that we hope to start next year is adding a bathroom and walk-in-closet to the master bedroom. The yellow box gives you an idea of what that will do to our yard.
Then I want to pave the white area, and store our woodshed (pictured later) and garbage cans there.
The X-ed bush is coming out and in it's place will go a raised planter (like the ones below) so I have a place to garden!

The edge of the woodshed is in the upper left corner.
The ugly chain link, and tilted wood fences will be replaced with a pretty one like this...
...and then I want to hang flower baskets  like these along the chain side to add color that Westly and his sidekick Sissy can't destroy!

The fence at the far end of the above pic will be extended out and around our other side yard, pictured below.
(above: over the fence, below: from the other side of the fence)

So there you have my hopes and dreams for this yard of ours!!!
...at least as much as I have time to share about today :)
